Four Main Chablis Types
Petit Chablis, which is the least expensive of the fine wines and offers a simple, crisp wine.
Chablis, is one of the most common of this range of wines and offers a fresh, delicate aroma and flavour with mineral hints which come from the terroir in which the Chardonnay grapes are grown in.
Chablis Premier Cru (or 1er Cru) is a much more complex wine that are produced in only around forty vineyard.
Chablis Grand Cru is the most intense, age-worthy and usually stunning examples of Chardonnay, which are only produced in 7 vineyards on one slope in Burgundy - that means it is something special!
