Summer is upon us and I find that all birthdays seem to come at once over the months of June, July and August (not mine though, as that already passed in March!) If you like myself find it increasingly difficult to find the perfect gifts for all these birthdays (and weddings and anniversaries...) then I would like to share with you the delight I feel when I purchase
engraved gifts. Just lately I have got my grandads birthday, my best friend's wedding, as well as my
sister's birthday and my grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary coming up. I have also just bought a thank you present for a colleague who has helped me a lot with my side job over the last couple of years. 5 events in 2 months with a limited bank balance could be a cause for stress; not when you go for an

Birthday Gifts for Grandads: When I was thinking about what birthday gifts I could buy for my grandad's 50th birthday, I thought about all the engraved gifts he might like and I have narrowed my search down to three gifts.
1.Engraved Lighters - there are quite a few colours and styles to choose from, the cheapest is around £13 for a bomber lighter. There are also quite a few engraved Zippo lighters, I am leaning towards the high polished chrome lighter if I decide to go for an engraved Zippo lighter.
2.Engraved Tankards - my granded enjoys a pint, just like many granddads, so I think an engraved pewter tankard might be ideal.
3.Engraved Golf Gifts - My grandad has enjoyed playing golf for a few years and he has most things he needs to play golf. We quite often buy people gifts related to their hobbies, so personalised
golf gifts that are engraved are bound to be something he will be really happy to receive.
Wedding Gift for My Best Friend's Wedding: My best friend is 25 and is getting married in July, she loves a bit of champagne, so I have decided to get her some
engraved wedding flutes,
there are loads of engraved flutes to choose from, so it might take me a little bit of time to choose my favourite!
Birthday Gift for Sisters: my sister is going to be 23, she loves looking at herself in the mirror and she enjoys hitting the town most of the weekend, for this reason I picked
engraved compact mirrors,
which I believe is the best engraved gift for her at the moment!
50th Wedding Anniversary Gifts: My grandparents are very special to me and have done a lot for me in my life, so I think splashing out on a gift for them is only right. I am going to go for some
wine sets.
There are plenty of wine sets with
engraved wine to choose from, so I just need to decide whether I want to go for red, white or rose wines!
Thank You Gifts: If you are looking at personalised thank you gifts, then I would go with
engraved champagne if you are thanking someone for something big that they may have done or helped you with. You could also go with
engraved frames with a thoughtful thank you message and a photo inside to complete it - an engraved frame would be preferable perhaps to a bottle of engraved champagne if you are on a budget.
