QUESTION: How long will it take to receive my order?

ANSWER: We try and get all orders dispatched as quickly as possible, delivery is normally between 2-5 working days, but please allow up to 7 working days, especially at busy periods and for items which may be out of stock.

QUESTION: Can my gift be delivered direct to the receiver?

ANSWER: Yes, but please ensure that you give us the full name and address including postcode plus a contact telephone number for the recipient should there be any problems with delivery.

The package will need to be signed for, so if no one is at home a card will be left advising of attempted delivery. The parcel will attempt to be delivered one further time, should there still be no-one available to sign for the parcel, it will be taken back to the local FedEx UK depot and after 7 working days the parcel will be returned back to us. Re-delivery will therefore incur an additional charge.

QUESTION: Do you deliver on weekends?

ANSWER: Normal delivery is between Monday and Friday(excluding bank holidays). However, weekend delivery can be arranged, but at an extra cost.

Special Delivery - Saturday delivery will incur an extra charge of £15 on top of any "normal" postage and packaging cost and morning delivery will incur an extra cost of £4.

Should you require a special delivery service you must ring 01775 640788 BEFORE placing your order as an extra fee for postage will need to paid for over the phone.

QUESTION: What is a ‘portrait’ image?

ANSWER: 'Portrait' is when the images vertical dimension is greater than its horizontal dimension. If you want to add an image to a wine label or a spirit label it must be portrait to fit well inside the template.

QUESTION: I am having trouble uploading an image, what am I doing wrong?

ANSWER: Firstly, make sure the image you are trying to upload is in one of the formats birthdaygifts-shop.co.uk accepts (.gif, .jpg). Then, ensure the filename is short and simple, with no spaces or unusual characters. "Myimage.jpg" is a good filename, but "Every1*havin*a*gud*tym@.jpg" may not work. Next, make sure the file size is less than 2000KB. We do not allow images over 2MB, as it takes too long to upload the image. If none of these suggestions work, it is possible that the image is corrupted.

QUESTION: My image is bigger than 2000KB, how can I make it smaller?

ANSWER: There are many ways to make an image smaller. If you have a basic image editing programme (try downloading picasa http://picasa.google.com, a free google image editing tool if you don’t!) you can change the resolution of the image or physically resize (change the image size in millimetres) if the image is very large. Alternatively, retake the photo at a lower image quality.

QUESTION: How much will a bottle of personalised labelled wine cost me?

ANSWER: The amounts below include the price of the wine (any combination) with the same personalised wine label.

One - Five bottles = £10 per 75cl bottle
Six - Twelve bottles = £10 per 75cl bottle with a 30%
discount
Thirteen + bottles = £10 per 75cl bottle with a 40%
discount

There will also be an additional delivery charge, which is dependent on the number of 75cl bottles you require:

01-12 bottles £7.99
13-24 bottles £10.99
25-36 bottles £19.99
37-48 bottles £23.99
49-60 bottles £29.99
61-72 bottles £36.99
73-84 bottles £39.99
85 bottles + £46.00

This additional amount includes postage, packaging and delivery to all mainland UK addresses.

So if you require one bottle of personalised labelled wine, the cost will be £10 + £7.99 = £17.99

Also, if you require six bottles of personalised labelled wine the cost will be:
6 bottles x £10 x 30% discount= £42
P & P costs = £7.99

QUESTION: Do you sell personalised champagne?

ANSWER: Yes, we have a champagne, which we use for personalised champagne. This personalised champagne is £20 (plus postage and packaging), to create a unique personalised label for any occasion, including Birthdays, Weddings, Anniversaries and Corporate Events go to the 'Personalised Champagne' tab on the home page.

You are also able to use the champagne label design to put onto italian prosecco (£10), italian sparkling rose (£15) and spanish cava (£10) to create special personalised gifts.

QUESTION: Can I buy the labels without the wine?

ANSWER: No. There is a unique system for putting the labels on to the unlabelled wine bottles, for which reason we only supply the labels and the wine together.

QUESTION: I want to order some wine for Christmas, when is the latest I can place my order?

ANSWER: If you want to place an order to arrive in time for Christmas 2010, orders (if less than £100) need to be placed by 16th December at the latest. If your order value is worth more than £100, please ensure you place your order as early as possible to guarantee delivery in time for Christmas!

QUESTION: How long will it take to receive my personalised mug?

ANSWER: We send personalised mugs out on Recorded Royal Mail delivery, which including our processing time should mean that you will receive your mug within 5-7 working days of placing your order.
