Everyday we get a wide range of gift purchases. Some for birthdays, some for weddings and some jus because... it's great to know how much people love to buy gifts. There are some purchases that I absolutely love though - one of them is the category that I like to call the 'proposal gifts'...
I am going to refer to one particular order that we got, for obvious reasons I can't use names or give you any details about the customer. But I this order has to be one the best ones I've seen.
The guy ordered a two bottles of
personalised wine - the first he engraved with a message to his partner asking her to marry him. He ordered a fine wine instead of any old wine, I'm thinking his intention was not to open the bottle but for her to keep the bottle as a reminder of when he proposed to her. I thought it was very sweet. It was a beautifully
engraved personalised wine gift...the second bottle was a
personalised labelled wine and on this bottle he had written - "this bottle will help us seal the deal or help me drown my sorrows!" - when I saw this order I thought it was amazing. How could anyone say 'no' to someone with that kind of sense of humour! You'd be laughing all your married life :)
I personally thought this was a fantastic gift to give someone. Not only was he asking her a question that would probably have changed both of their lives and thus showing his sentimental side but also he was showing his funny nature. The overall package in a man I'd say.
The gift was also thoughtful too, he had taken the time to think about how he was going to propose. When you give someone a gift, you want the recipient to know that you have taken the time to think about what they are getting you. A proposal is pretty important and this guy ticked all the boxes when it came to giving a thoughtful gift.
