Oh My God it's Christmas yet again, and you really struggle to know what to buy for your wife to tell her how much you love her and how beautiful she is. The luxurious lingerie has been done many times before, and now she doesn't pull it off quite as well as she used to, or its your first Christmas together as a happily married couple, or your 25th or even your 50th and you really feel it should be special and meaningful. Well do you think buying her the latest Kettle will put you in her good books? or perhaps you think she could do with a more powerful Iron, since the one she currently has just isn't tackling those stubborn creases on your office or work shirts. As a man you are sure she will thank you for thinking of easing her troublesome load.....Well sir if that's what you are thinking then I suggest you think again. My husband once bought me a new set of kitchen knives for Christmas, very early on in our marriage, and though I will admit they were beautiful and practical and useful....on some unconscious level I felt like I was being told “Well the honeymoon is over dear, lets look forward to the rest of our lives together, and my stomach is most definitely where my heart is, doesn't really matter where yours is”. That particular Christmas is etched onto his forehead, never ever to be forgotten.
If like my other half you are thinking of being practical, then don't! She is a special person, who looks after your needs, day in day out. She is a super mum, and even though she knows you love her, the hum drum needs of life means that she doesn't always get the chance to feel it.
Say something special, unleash the lover in you, impress her with some heart felt words of poetry, or just some heart felt words. Say what you know will wow her, and say it with a Christmas gift that she will remember for all the right reasons, one that is unique to her, but special for you both. A gift with your own personal touch, personalised words, that ultimately tell her that she is one in a million and you are the luckiest man alive to have her as your wife.
